This privacy policy is intended to be simple and understandable for everyone. In this respect, the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) are used wherever possible. The official definitions are explained in Art. 4 GDPR.
Server log files
When you visit our website, it is necessary for technical reasons that data is transmitted to our web server via your Internet browser. The following data is recorded during an ongoing connection for communication between your internet browser and our web server:
- Date and time of the request
- Name of the requested file
- Page from which the file was requested
- Access status
- Web browser and operating system used
- IP address of the requesting computer

We collect the listed data to ensure a smooth connection to the website and to enable convenient use. The log file is also used to analyse system security and stability as well as for administrative purposes. The legal basis for the temporary storage of the data or log files is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
For reasons of IT security, in particular to defend against attempted attacks on our web server, the data is stored for a short time. It is not possible for us to draw conclusions about individual persons on the basis of this data. After two years at the latest, the data is anonymised by shortening the IP address at domain level so that it is no longer possible to establish a link to the individual user.
The data may also be processed in anonymised form for statistical purposes. At no time will this data be stored together with other personal data of the user, compared with other databases or passed on to third parties.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies, which are stored by the browser on your device and which contain certain settings for the use of the website (e.g. for the current session). Purposes and legal basis of the processing of personal data
We process your personal data in accordance with the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) with regard to the purpose of your enquiry for a business relationship, insofar as this is necessary for the decision on the establishment of a business relationship with us. The legal basis for this is Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 BDSG and, if applicable, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR for the initiation or execution of contractual relationships.
Furthermore, we reserve the right to process personal data insofar as this is necessary for the fulfilment of legal obligations pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR or for the defence of legal claims asserted against us. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. A legitimate interest is, for example, a burden of proof in proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).
If you give us your express consent to process personal data for specific purposes, the lawfulness of this processing is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Please note that the revocation only takes effect for the future. Processing that took place before the revocation is not necessarily affected.
If there is a business relationship between you and us, we are entitled in accordance with Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 BDSG to process your personal data for the purposes of the business relationship, insofar as this is necessary for the implementation or termination or for the exercise and fulfilment of the rights and obligations arising from a law.
Categories of personal data
We only process business data in connection with your enquiry.
Source of the data
We process personal data that we receive from you by post, e-mail or other communication channels or via other sources from you and/or third parties commissioned by you when you contact us or make an enquiry.
Recipient of the data
We only pass on your personal data within our company to those areas that require this data to fulfil contractual and legal obligations or to implement our and your legitimate interests.
We may transfer your personal data to companies affiliated with us insofar as this is permitted with regard to the purposes and legal bases described.
Otherwise, data will only be passed on to recipients outside the company if this is permitted or required by law, if the transfer is necessary to fulfil legal obligations or if you have given your explicit consent.
Transfer to a third country
A transfer to a third country is not intended.
Duration of data storage
We store your personal data for as long as is necessary to make a decision about your enquiry. Your personal data will be deleted no later than 6 months after the end of the enquiry process, unless longer storage is legally required or permitted.
In the event that you have expressly consented to your personal data being stored for a longer period of time, we will store your personal data in accordance with your declaration of consent.
If a business relationship is established following the initiation process, the data will initially continue to be stored and then transferred to the customer or supplier file.
Your rights
Every data subject has the right of access under Art. 15 GDPR, the right to rectification under Art. 16 GDPR, the right to erasure under Art. 17 GDPR, the right to restriction of processing under Art. 18 GDPR, the right to notification under Art. 19 GDPR and the right to data portability under Art. 20 GDPR.
In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR if you believe that your personal data is being processed unlawfully. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.
If data is processed on the basis of your consent, you are entitled under Art. 7 GDPR to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time with effect for the future. Please note that we may have to retain certain data for a certain period of time in order to fulfil legal requirements.
Right of objection
Insofar as the processing of personal data concerning you is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR to safeguard legitimate interests, you have the right to object to the processing of this data at any time in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR for reasons arising from your particular situation. We will then no longer process this personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
To safeguard your rights, you can contact us at any time using the contact details provided.
Requirement to provide personal data
The provision of personal data in the context of initiation processes is neither legally nor contractually required. You are therefore not obliged to provide personal data. However, the provision of personal data is mandatory for the decision on an enquiry or a possible conclusion of a contract with us. Ideally, however, you should only provide the personal data that is required to receive and process your enquiry. If you do not provide us with any personal data, we will not be able to make a final decision on the establishment of a business relationship.
Automated decision making
The response to your enquiry is largely based on non-automated processing. There is therefore no automated decision in individual cases within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
